The Akari puzzle is a type of pencil puzzle that requires strategic placement of lightbulbs to illuminate all cells without any bulbs shining on each other.
The rules are straightforward:
- Lightbulbs illuminate every cell in the same row and column until their path is blocked by a black cell or the boundary of the grid.
- Numbers within certain black cells indicate exactly how many lightbulbs are placed in adjacent cells.
- Lightbulbs do not illuminate each other; they only light up the cells around them, not themselves.
